On November 5th, Duxford College for Advanced Studies held a legal awareness program titled SADGAMAYA, aimed at educating students and staff on important legal principles and rights. The event featured Mr. Ebin Sunny, Civil Excise Officer at the Excise Range Office in Nilambur, as the esteemed chief guest, who provided valuable insights into legal practices and their relevance in everyday life. Also in attendance were Mr. Fareed Rahmani, MD & CEO of Duxford Edupark, and Prof. Alavi Bin Mohammed, Principal of Duxford College. On November 1, Duxford College for Advanced Studies celebrated “KELIKOTT 2K24” to commemorate Kerala Piravi, marking the formation day of the state of Kerala. The event embraced the rich cultural heritage of the region, providing a platform for students and staff to participate in activities that reflected the traditional spirit of Kerala. Highlights of the celebration included a quiz competition, designed to test participants’ knowledge of the state’s history, geography, and cultural legacy, and a vibrant muttipattu performance that showcased the musical and artistic talent of the students. As part of Animania – Animation Day Celebration, Duxford College for Advanced Studies proudly presents Future Realities: Unlocking the Power of AR/VR on October 28, 2024. This engaging session will feature Mr. Noufal P, Founder & CEO of Iluzia Lab at the Government Cyberpark in Kozhikode and a former 3D Animator at DQ Entertainment in Hyderabad.

On October 25, the Women Development Cell at Duxford College for Advanced Studies held an awareness session titled “Healthy Cycles, Healthy Life,” focused on promoting sustainable and healthy menstrual practices. Dr. Naheeda Mohammed (MBBS, MS, DNB, FMAS), a consultant in obstetrics, gynecology, and laparoscopic surgery from NIMS Hospital, led the session. She emphasized the advantages of using menstrual cups, highlighting their eco-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and health benefits over traditional products. Dr. Naheeda provided practical guidance, answered questions, and encouraged students to consider menstrual cups as a sustainable choice for managing menstrual health. This session empowered participants with knowledge on safer menstrual options, underscoring the connection between menstrual health and overall well-being.
Duxford College for Advanced Studies will hold its PTA General Body Meeting on October 24, 2024, at 1:30 PM. V.P. Muhammed Ali, Chairman of Duxford Edupark, will inaugurate the meeting, emphasizing the college’s commitment to collaboration with parents and teachers. Prof. Alavi Bin Muhammed Bin AP, Principal of Duxford College, will lead the program and guide discussions on school initiatives.
The event will feature Dr. Jayafarali Alichethu, Director of the Centre for Excellence in Education at CIGI, Calicut, as the resource person. He will share strategies for enhancing students’ academic success and personal growth. On October 17, Duxford College for Advanced Studies and the ED Club hosted Fudhh Fiesta 2.0, a lively food festival. Special guests included Mr. Sajjad Basheer, Assistant District Industries Officer, and Mr. Nisam DZK, a dance choreographer. The festival featured a variety of food stalls and gave students and faculty a chance to enjoy delicious cuisine. The event combined food, culture, and creativity, making it a memorable experience for everyone.
On September 27, in celebration of World Tourism Day, Duxford College for Advanced Studies, in collaboration with the Tourism Club, is organizing an essay competition. The event will take place at 2:30 PM in Room No. 19. This competition offers students an opportunity to express their ideas and insights on the importance of tourism. It’s a great chance for participants to showcase their writing skills and engage with a global theme. All students are encouraged to join and make the most of this enriching experience.
On September 12th, 2024, Duxford Edupark celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with an event called “Onnichonam.” This celebration brought together students, faculty, and staff to honor Kerala’s rich cultural heritage with traditional festivities. The day was filled with exciting activities, including the Pookalam (floral rangoli) competition, Onam games, and a sumptuous Onam Sadhya (feast), embodying the spirit of unity and togetherness. “Onnichoonam” highlighted the values of community, joy, and celebration, making it a memorable occasion for everyone at Duxford Edupark.
