On January 8, 2024, the Entrepreneurship Development Club had successfully organized an insightful workshop titled “From Tree to Totes: The Art and Science of Paper Bag Manufacturing.” The event had been led by two talented students, Liya P from B.Com Co-operation and Fathima Hanna P from BA Economics with Foreign Trade, who conducted the workshop with enthusiasm and expertise.

The session had aimed to promote sustainability by introducing participants to the eco-friendly process of paper bag manufacturing. The workshop had not only focused on the practical skills required to create paper bags but also delved into the broader environmental benefits of reducing plastic use. Attendees were given a step-by-step demonstration, learning how to convert raw materials into finished products, while understanding the economic and ecological significance of this craft.

Liya and Fathima had shared insights into the commercial potential of paper bag manufacturing, emphasizing its relevance in today’s eco-conscious market. They had also discussed the importance of entrepreneurship in sustainable business models, inspiring participants to think creatively about turning such small-scale manufacturing ideas into viable business ventures.

The workshop had fostered hands-on learning, encouraging student engagement and collaboration. By the end of the session, attendees had acquired not only the skills to produce paper bags but also a deeper understanding of how entrepreneurship can contribute to environmental conservation. “From Tree to Totes” had been an enriching experience, equipping students with both practical knowledge and entrepreneurial inspiration.
