On October 25, the Women Development Cell at Duxford College for Advanced Studies held an awareness session titled “Healthy Cycles, Healthy Life,” focused on promoting sustainable and healthy menstrual practices. Dr. Naheeda Mohammed (MBBS, MS, DNB, FMAS), a consultant in obstetrics, gynecology, and laparoscopic surgery from NIMS Hospital, led the session. She emphasized the advantages of using menstrual cups, highlighting their eco-friendliness, cost-effectiveness, and health benefits over traditional products. Dr. Naheeda provided practical guidance, answered questions, and encouraged students to consider menstrual cups as a sustainable choice for managing menstrual health. This session empowered participants with knowledge on safer menstrual options, underscoring the connection between menstrual health and overall well-being.
