On September 27, 2023, an insightful orientation session on the importance of palliative care was conducted by the Students Initiative in Palliative Care in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The session was expertly facilitated by Mr. Abdul Kareem, the General Secretary of the Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC), who brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the discussion. Throughout the session, participants explored the critical role of palliative care in improving the quality of life for patients with serious illnesses.
Mr. Kareem emphasized the holistic approach of palliative care, which focuses not only on managing physical symptoms but also addresses emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
